Job Role: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm (3.30pm finish on Fridays)
Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 DOE

Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a Technical Sales Engineer to help provide customers with technical advice and develop solutions to problems.

Job Duties:

  • Responding to technical enquiries with solutions
  • Reviewing Engineers Drawings other documentation received from customers
  • Improving existing products to reduce cost
  • Identify opportunities for new products
  • Liaising with customers and their design team
  • Carrying out designs to determine correct products and sizes.
  • Communicating any details, mark ups and assumptions to the customer
  • Liaising with the Sales Team to produce a quotation.

Job Requirements:

  • Requires good understanding of UK construction methods
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude
  • Occasionally accompanying a member of the sales team to site meetings
  • HNC or equivalent qualification in an Engineering or building/construction related subject.
  • Worked within a construction related design environment.
  • Able to understand Engineering/Technical Drawings.
  • Problem solving/Organised/Methodical/AutoCAD.
  • Computer literate/Microsoft Windows/Good Telephone Manner.
