Technical Sales Engineer

Technical Sales Engineer required for our client, a UK leader in the renewable water management industry, based on the outskirts of Newark-on-Trent.

Our client has been working in the industry for over 20 years, with a team of over 30 members spread across their office and across the UK completing installations and maintenance of their products, and the successful Technical Sales Engineer will be heading up a new sales focus within the business.

They currently have their rainwater and greywater harvesting systems installed in a wide variety of commercial settings including football stadiums, entertainment arenas, universities, and fast-food outlets, and they currently save their clients over £7 billion of water every year.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary starting at £45,000 (guide only - negotiable depending on experience)
• Team bonus scheme with OTE of £7,500
• Additional personal bonus scheme available
• Company car, mobile phone, and laptop provided
• 40 hour working week

Technical Sales Engineer Position Responsibilities

• Travelling across the UK to meet with potential and existing clients
• Building relationships with clients, generating sales leads, and maximising the sales potential of the companies existing client base
• Completing technical surveys on site with clients to specify which products fit their current needs
• Liaising directly with clients and the internal sales teams to generate and deliver quotes, along with working with the client to negotiate contract terms and complete tenders
• Meeting sales targets and expanding the companies presence across the industry.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Requirements

• Strong technical background within the water industry, from a water treatment, pumps, or rainwater harvesting background ideally
• Previous experience completing site surveys, compiling quotes, and delivering them to clients
• Demonstrable sales experience and a background in meeting sales targets
• Full UK driving licence
• Happy to travel nationwide and visit the office in Nottinghamshire
