Technical Sales Advisor

• Annual Salary: £35k - £45k (depending on qualifications/experience)

• Job Type: Full-time, Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5pm

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for our company’s products. The ideal candidate will represent the company’s interests professionally while communicating with customers and other third parties. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills, with a focus on understanding and designing product solutions to meet customer needs.

• Provide advice and support to customers on our products, especially in understanding customer requirements and designing products to provide solutions for specific applications.
• Offer technical and product support to customers and the organisation’s sales departments.
• Communicate with customers via phone, fax, email, or letter to resolve technical or product queries.
• Identify and select appropriate products to meet customer requirements and prepare information for quotation purposes.
• Prepare and check engineering documents, including charts for special products, specification sheets for special escutcheon plates, and drawings for special UK assembled products and purchased items.
• Liaise with the technical department in Vienna to obtain product/technical information and related documents as required.
• Provide backup to the internal sales department regarding telephone customer enquiries.
• Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures, including the Quality Management System.

• Electrical engineering qualification (HND, degree) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to provide solutions based on customer requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in handling customer queries.
• Ability to prepare and interpret technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and company compliance procedures.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and providing customer support.
