Technical Manager

Your new company

Our client is an innovative residential builder developer with ambitious plans to develop their Scottish assets over the next 10 years. As one of their developments nears commencing construction, they are seeking to appoint a Technical Manager to their project team. This project is part of a masterplan for a large site in the Central Belt.

Your new role

As Technical Manager , reporting to the head of design , you will be responsible for all design elements of the project. From reviewing drawings to ensure compliance and buildability, to engaging with key stakeholders such as architects and engineers, you will be the technical expert responsible for supporting the site team as it enters construction.

Based onsite and at home, you will be close to the construction process, ensuring any design issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. Our client applies innovative construction techniques to their projects and there will be an opportunity for you to develop your knowledge in this space. You will be exposed to different approaches to residential building

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate is a design professional working within the Scottish housebuilding industry. You will have deep knowledge of Scottish building regulations and understand how to work within an NHBC accredited environment. You must have a progressive and open-minded approach to design and be an excellent communicator with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Ideally, you will understand the challenge of applying an English design to the Scottish residential building environment.
