About the role…

An office-based position, working for one of the UK’s leading specialists in flat-pack/panel furniture for the education sector.

As a technical CAD technician you’ll be turning concept designs into detailed CAD drawings that can be sent to the panel supplier, ready for manufacture.

Day to day, your role will include:

• Technical design of panel products including Classroom, Laboratory and Food Tech benching, storage, and cabinets
• Liaising with the Interior Design team to realise the client’s designs in an innovative and intelligent solutions-orientated way.
• Developing the range into a class-leading range of products with constant improvement and development
• Liaising and negotiating with material suppliers regarding products, lead times, colour options and components.

You’ll be great for this role if you…

• are experienced in producing accurate, detailed designs for panel (flat packed) furniture
• can confidently produce 2D and 3D CAD production drawings for panel products
• can read design drawings
• have experience in CAD and 3D rendering software (experience with Vectorworks and Enscape would be advantageous but not essential)
• have great attention to detail coupled with strong visualisation skills to ensure effective design
