  • A client based in Sweden is looking for several Technical Authors with experience within the rail industry. This will be for an initial 12 month contract either working on site or HYBRID.
  • Under direct supervision, responsible for writing technical copy for various operation and maintenance manuals and technical publications.
  • Prepares written text and coordinates layout and organization of manuals and other documents according to prepared outlines and specifications.
  • Researches available technical data including drawings, design reports, equipment, and test specifications.
  • May work with engineers and other technical personnel to clarify document contents.
  • Working on Engineering Technical Publication projects
  • Technical Authoring, Illustrations, Parts Catalogs, e-learning portal development etc., and having good knowledge on Technical Publication and related Tools
  • Adobe illustrator, Iso draw, Adobe photoshop, Epic Editor, Creo View, Creo Parametric, Team Center, Windchill, PDM, Wise, WPA, SAP, etc.

Skills:

  • Overall work experience: 6+ years.
  • Rail industry experience
  • Sound knowledge in Technical Publication projects - Technical Authoring, Illustrations, Parts Catalogs, e-learning portal development etc.
  • Should have good knowledge on Technical Publication and related Tools
  • Adobe illustrator, Iso draw, Adobe photoshop, Epic Editor, Creo View, Creo Parametric, Team Center, Windchill, PDM, SAP, etc.
  • Maintenance/fault finding knowledge of train systems.
  • Experience of writing instruction manuals and working with XML is a merit.
