The role involves agile working based at County Hall, with duties covering the entirety of Cardiff on a duty rota basis. As the Team Manager for one of our clients dynamic Intake and Assessment teams, you will lead a dedicated team of professionals. This team receives referrals from the MASH team and conducts statutory assessments for children aged 0-18 and their families. This role also involves conducting Section 47 assessments, wellbeing assessments, and part 4 investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the Intake and Assessment Team and the UASC Team
- Conducting social worker assessments and investigations
- Providing immediate support to children and families as required
- Collaborating with external agencies, including joint visits with police
- Court work related to safeguarding children
Requirements:
- Experienced social worker with supervision experience (level 10)
- Management experience preferred, but not essential
- Ability to drive for home and school visits
- Familiarity with various forms of abuse, including FGM and exploitation
- Comfortable working in a challenging environment with competing demands
