An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for employment this May. The position involves providing comprehensive classroom support within the Year 5 class of the school. This entails offering general assistance within the classroom and delivering targeted interventions to support the development of two children with EHCPs, aimed at enhancing their progress in specific areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting tailored learning activities and offering support to individuals and small groups of students.
  • Fostering engagement, motivation, and encouragement among learners.
  • Assisting in the social and emotional development of students.
  • Collaborating with the Class Teacher in managing classroom behaviour.
  • Performing record-keeping and administrative duties, including resource preparation.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
  • Valid Child Workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Recent and successful experience as a teaching assistant.
  • Proactive, diligent, and dedicated to making a positive difference.
