Exciting new role! Reception Teaching Assistant required for a thriving, highly successful primary school in Manchester. This is a full-time position for one year, covering a maternity leave.

Do you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in EYFS? Can you contribute to a high achieving team and help children maintain an excellent rate of development and attainment? Your Reception Teaching Assistant role will involve:

  • Leading groups of children in core curriculum areas such as Phonics, Guided Reading, Writing and Maths
  • Making and recording accurate assessments
  • Supporting children with additional needs
  • Managing behaviour in a positive style
  • Maintaining a calm and productive atmosphere in the classroom
  • Working collaboratively within an effective team

To be eligible to apply, you must have Right to Work in the UK, professional references covering the last 2 full years, experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school, and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to process a new DBS.
