Teaching Assistant

Location: Maidstone and Medway areas

Job Type: Supply/Temporary

Salary: Competitive

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to join various schools in the Maidstone area. This role is ideal for those who wish to make a positive impact on students’ educational journeys on a flexible basis.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering educational material and activities.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment.
  • Provide individual support to students, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Encourage students’ confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
  • Help manage student behaviour in the classroom and on school premises.
  • Participate in meetings and professional development activities as required.
  • Adapt to working with different age groups and educational needs as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different educational settings.
  • A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with children.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
