• Some of these students struggle with school avoidance, some struggle with additional learning needs.

To be successful in this role as a Teaching Assistant, you should have the following:

• You should have some experience working with children but above all, nothing beats an enthusiastic and positive personality.
• You should be compassionate and friendly. You should be able to take initiative well and problem solve.
• Many of the children will have personalised educational plans and you will need to change your approach to meet their needs.
• You should have an understanding of the importance of safeguarding.
• You should hold an Enhanced DBS Check.
