This excellent Alternative Provision is looking to add a dynamic and driven SEMH Teacher to the team to deliver engaging lessons to students who have been excluded from mainstream education. As a teacher at this school, you will be teaching small classes of KS3/4 students who require additional support, guidance, and motivation to engage with education. Many of these students have an EHCP and have a range of SEMH needs. This school is happy to a consider a teacher from any core subject background, maths, English, or science, or a teacher from a Key Stage 2 background.
Facilities at this school are excellent and leadership are committed to making sure that every child gets a second chance. Behaviour can be challenging; however, it is not extreme, and you will receive outstanding support form an expert pastoral and behavioural team. If you are a qualified teacher who has though about leaving mainstream education and trying something new, why not consider teaching in Alternative Provisions. This role requires qualified teacher status (QTS).
Job Role:
- Teaching children with SEMH needs who have been excluded.
- Tailoring lessons to suit needs of individual students.
- Making lessons engaging, interactive and informative
- Effectively managing classroom behaviours with the support for TA’s
