Does the idea of joining a prestigious, Edinburgh based Law firm as Tax Assistant sound exciting? This highly regarded and reputable firm are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join the Tax team on a full-time permanent basis. Hybrid and flexible working is available. Applications will be accepted from individuals looking to make the transition from Accountancy practice. Study Support offered.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit annual tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates and charities
  • Capital Gains tax calculations
  • Offer sound advice and support to both clients and trustees on income tax and capital gains
  • Maintain internal records and promptly respond to clients' and HMRC's queries.
  • Review and update client files regularly to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Complete draft Tax Returns forms
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and hmrc regularly
  • Stay updated on relevant tax legislation and rules and take part in training sessions

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with expertise in Personal Tax
  • Preferably ATT Qualified or studying towards
  • Strong processing skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
