GBR Recruitment Ltd, are working closely with a leading Construction business recruiting for an experienced Talent Acquisition Assistant to focus purely primarily on Recruitment & On-boarding activity, securing the very best Talent for a diverse array of key roles, ranging from apprentices, to skilled trades, up-to Management & Executive level roles (all permanent hires). For this role, the client will consider those seeking 25 hours per week or those wanting 37.5 hours per week (negotiable across 3,4 or 5 days working patterns, with the salary pro-rata accordingly).

This is a fantastic Recruitment / Candidate Attraction focused role, ideal for a Recruitment Professional who "loves all things Recruitment".

Your key function will be to successfully recruit across all the divisions of this large scale business (at all levels / for all specialisms), working as a true Recruitment Business Partner to the Senior Management team (the Hiring Managers), using the latest Recruitment techniques to attract the desired Talent.

Recruitment will come as 2nd nature to you & you will have a real instinct for what good looks like.

You will be fully versed in the art of using Social Media (Linked In, Twitter, Facebook etc.) & Major Job Boards, to attract the required diverse skill sets for this ever growing & ever expanding, highly successful business.

Duties:

  • Work with Department Leads / Hiring Managers, to understand the Resourcing needs of the business
  • Utilise Social Media & Major Job Boards to attract the best talent, writing enticing adverts / job posts
  • Writing or supporting the creation of Job Specifications
  • Running Recruitment Assessment Centres & Managing Recruitment exercises
  • Pre-screening, short-listing & Interviewing applicants (entry level to senior posts) up to offer / hiring stage
  • Carrying out vetting & background checks on applicants (references etc)
  • Promoting all employee benefits to applicants / new hires
  • Ensuring new starters are on-boarded correctly & successfully inducted into the business (mentor & support)
  • Completion of all hiring paperwork & updating employee records
  • Recruiting unskilled, semi-skilled & specialist roles
  • Working closely with education, training & qualification providers
  • Managing / coordinating careers events for the business
  • Attending job fairs, industry specific events, networking events & exhibitions
  • Coordinate activities for those on work experience from school or college etc
  • General support to the HR / ER team

Attributes:

  • You will come from a Recruitment, Resourcing, Talent Acquisition or HR background
  • You will be passionate about all things Recruitment & thrive in a 80% Recruitment focused role
  • Previously you will of Recruited for various job roles, across various specialisms at varying levels
  • You will be a real people focused / people centric individual with strong communication skills
  • You will be a calm under pressure, able to multi-task & prioritise workloads to achieve targets
  • You will be used to working on a variety of Job Boards & Social Media Channels
