Who We Are Looking For:

  • Job Title - System Developer

  • Duration - Permanent

  • Working Schedule - Full Time 37.5 hrs

  • Location - Aberdeen

The System Developer is responsible for partaking in the development of applications in support of KCA Deutag business processes.They will also provide support for existing KCA DEUTAG applications through bug fixing and modification.The System Developer shall manage support and modification activities through the Company IT ServiceDesk and shall follow the Company Change Management Process.The System Developer may from time to time be required to present systems and/or to give training sessions to other Company personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement applications to support core business functions.

  • Provide bug fixes and modifications to existing applications.

  • Perform database administration tasks when required.

  • Provide support to other members and functions of KCAD-IT as required.

  • Provide general IT support when required.

  • Where assigned actions in CATS, close out the actions in a timely manner.

  • Refine/develop the existing review/challenge process and ensure "lessons learned" are implemented.

  • Adhere to / improve where appropriate any internal standards regarding application development, maintenance, and support

  • Follow any current documentation standards

  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Group management systems and client procedures (where appropriate).

Key Skills:

  • Microsoft .NETTechnologies- C# / ASP.NET / .NET CORE

  • Good understanding of SQL Servere.g. creating Tables, Views, Stored Procedures.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience:

  • Proven experienceof developing and supporting .NET/C#/SQL based applications.

  • SharePoint Online & Power Platform experience highly beneficial

  • Power BI Desktop experience beneficial

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Computer Science/Information Technology degree or equivalent.
