Supported Housing Team Leader
TristoneNash have partnered with a highly reputable social housing provider who is recruiting for a Supported Housing Team Leader.
Location: South Birmingham
Length of Contract: Permanent
Pay: £31,000
Working hours/days: 37.5 (Monday to Friday - 09:00am to 17:00pm)
The Team Leader is responsible for leading, developing and motivating the team, for the
delivery of an efficient and effective housing management service to tenants of the hostel.
This will include assisting in the processing and assessment of applications to be housed
at the scheme. It will also involve delivering a high-quality rent collection and arrears
recovery service. The Team Leader will also be responsible for ensuring the welfare of
tenants is protected, with a view to maximising their potential for sustained independent
Your duties in this role would include:
- Being responsible for leading, developing and motivating a team of 7 to 8 staff
- Carrying out staff appraisals, setting targets and handling any safeguarding issues
- Delivering an efficient housing management service to tenants with complex needs within a hostel setting (homelessness, substance misuse and mental health)
- Assisting clients with ASB, income, tenancy, allocations and welfare/benefits queries
- Completing quality audits and reporting findings to management, making any recommendations for service improvements
- Representing the client at agreed external meetings and report back to staff and management
- Maintaining an efficient service through effective budget monitoring, cost control, and maintain high occupancy levels
An essential requirement for this role is a car and previous management experience
