Job Title:                    Support Worker 
Role Type:                  Temporary – 4 – 6 weeks+
Salary:                         £13.62 PAYE - £14.29 Umbrella
Location:                     Bristol
 
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of veterans? We are seeking a dedicated Veterans Support Worker to join our client in Bristol on a temporary basis. As a key member of a dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in providing support to veterans, ensuring their well-being, and promoting their independence in a nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with the Manager and Senior Support Worker to develop innovative and effective practices to support veterans in leading fulfilling and independent lives
  • Provide essential support for veterans to maximize their independence
  • Ensure veterans are actively involved at all levels in the project's operations
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in housing and tenancy support
  • Proficiency in mental health support
  • Background in ex-veterans support
  • Strong support planning skills
  • Ability to conduct risk and needs assessments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certification or training in healthcare and social services
  • Previous experience working with diverse communities
  • Understanding of statutory and charitable support systems
  • Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Understanding of risk management in mental health settings
