A very established team, the longest serving member of the team is moving on due to internal promotion. For this role, the priority for the hiring manager is the manufacturing planning experience/production planner experience. The type of person who will fit within the team is someone eager to hit the ground running, will not sit quietly waiting to be told what to do and doesn’t need a ‘how to guide’. Ultimately someone who is a self-starter, has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of stakeholder.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields OR equivalent experience.
  • Solid experience in a demand planning/forecasting role. 
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures. 
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge. 
  • Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • SAP software 
  • Microsoft Excel; VLOOKUP, pivot tables
REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in supply planning, inventory management, or related supply chain roles. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. 
  • Knowledge of supply chain software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Supply Planning: Develop comprehensive supply plans based on demand forecasts, historical data, and production capacities. Optimise inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess stock holding. 
Demand Collaboration: Work closely with the Demand Manager and sales teams to understand customer demands, market trends, and upcoming promotions to align supply plans accordingly.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, identifying potential risks of stockouts or overstock situations and implement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels. 
Production Scheduling: Ensure production scheduling aligned with production teams to schedule manufacturing activities based on the supply plan and ensure timely delivery of finished goods. 
Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of raw materials, components, or finished products, resolving any supply-related issues. 
Data Analysis: Utilise various data analysis tools to assess supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement and develop actionable insights. 
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain continuity in supply. 
Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times and optimise supply chain costs. 
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as Logistics, Procurement, and Quality, to foster effective communication and align supply chain efforts. 
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and present findings to management.
