Supply Demand Planner

Our client in the Wednesbury area is looking for an experienced Supply Demand Planner to join their vibrant team due to continued business growth.

Benefits:

• Salary - £27,000 to £30,000 per annum
• Location: Wednesbury
• Hours of work - Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm (37.5hrs per week)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Analyse and monitor sales forecasts by customer and product, bridging sales and purchasing.
• Identify discrepancies between actual and planned demand, adjusting forecasts and supply chain plans to optimize inventory.
• Plan inventory levels and initiate purchase orders with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
• Collaborate with logistics, suppliers, and shipping agents to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders.
• Aid warehouse and sales teams in achieving 100% order fulfilment while minimizing excess inventory.
• Identify surplus inventory and collaborate with sales to develop sales plans.
• Notify sales, procurement, and inventory teams of potential stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Manage regular communication with stock control and visit the warehouse as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of Supply and Demand experience, with food industry expertise.
• Familiarity with sales and operations planning.
• Proficient in MS packages with clear communication skills.
• Excel expertise, including pivot tables & VLookup.
• Strong time management and task prioritization abilities.
• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
