Supplier Quality Engineer
For over 60 years, Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions.
We are currently working with an organisation in Mid Essex who are looking to hire a Supplier Quality Engineer.
They are a supplier of mechanical and electrical components to a number of industries including aerospace and defence.
This is a newly created position and the successful appointee will be joining a well established team.
Responsibilities:
- Creating specifications for production
- Researching, sourcing, and assessing the most appropriate suppliers
- Reviewing incoming products and conducting tests and assessments to identify quality issues
- Addressing quality issues with suppliers by providing technical advice and guidance to mitigate defects
- Working to ISO9001
Skills & Experience Needed:
- In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of manufacturing and engineering.
- Good working knowledge of quality control standards and compliance with ISO9001.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills.
- Experience identifying and securing suppliers.
- Ability to produce technical drawings / specifications (preferred).
- Driver with access to own transport due to company location.
