Supplier Quality Engineer

We are currently working with an organisation in Mid Essex who are looking to hire a Supplier Quality Engineer.

They are a supplier of mechanical and electrical components to a number of industries including aerospace and defence.

This is a newly created position and the successful appointee will be joining a well established team. 

Responsibilities: 

• Creating specifications for production
• Researching, sourcing, and assessing the most appropriate suppliers
• Reviewing incoming supplies and conducting tests and assessments to identify quality issues
• Addressing quality issues with suppliers by providing technical advice and guidance to mitigate defects
• Working to ISO9001

Skills & Experience Needed:

• In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of manufacturing and engineering.
• Good working knowledge of quality control standards and compliance with ISO9001.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills.
• Experience identifying and securing suppliers.
• Ability to produce technical drawings / specifications (preferred).
• Driver with access to own transport due to company location.
