MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious precision engineering/manufacturing client, based in Ashington, by recruiting a permanent Supplier Quality Assurance Technician (SQA) to join their growing team. A successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that a supplier reliably supplies goods or services that satisfy the customer’s needs. This process is collaborative to ensure the supplier’s offerings meet the agreed-upon requirements with minimum inspection or modification.

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Defining the product's quality requirements
  • Identifying and evaluating available suppliers for the necessary parts
  • Choosing the most reliable suppliers that fit the productions' needs
  • Conducting joint quality planning
  • Establishing cooperation and collaboration during relationship period
  • Validating compliance to requirements and regulations
  • Certifying qualified suppliers
  • Conducting quality improvement plans
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining supplier ratings-scorecards

About You;

  • Have experience within a supplier facing quality role or relevant experience within a similar role.
  • Have a recognised Quality or Engineering discipline i.e., ONC, HNC, NVQ, C&G, or BTEC
  • Experienced in aerospace or automotive industry standards, procedures & practices
  • Working practical knowledge of ISO Quality Systems, customer specific requirements and APQP/PPAP requirements
  • Shall be familiar with Quality core tools FMEA, Control Plans Kaizen and CI.
