We are working with a prominent manufacturing company in the Medway area to resource for a Supplier Material Planning Analyst, who will be the primary contact for suppliers based in UK,Europe and Asia. The role's function will ensure good communication between the suppliers and manufacturing are maintained to a high standard to guarantee goods are received on time for production to operate effectively.

The role

  • Management of designated external supplier accounts
  • Reviewing and sending purchase schedules to suppliers
  • Arranging transport for goods
  • Review and track supplier shipments from the supplier - prioritising incoming shipments from a variety of methods
  • Chasing suppliers to reduce arrears and back orders
  • Deal with customs documents or issues for import of goods
  • Managing inventory levels to an agreed quantity or cost
  • Work closely with the purchasing department for MOQ's, lead times

You will be experienced with materials planning gained from a lean manufacturing environment, be a sound communicator, ideally with SAP or related system knowledge together with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
