Long Term Project (12 Month Plus Contract)

My client is a Tier 1 contractor based in Huddersfield, who is currently looking for a Sub Agent on a 12 month contract with possible extension. This is a great opportunity to work on one of the largest civils project in the U.K. Whilst working here you will be able to develop yourself and there will be the possibility to progress into other positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all permits ready for site work to commence
  • Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checks can be completed
  • Write and Approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works
  • Checking design drawings and reporting any issues or inconsistencies
  • Liaise with other Sections to ensure a smooth flow of work.
  • Management of Section Engineers, Site Engineers, Section Managers and Foreman
  • Experience delivering either rail, civil or highways engineering schemes within a Civils environment
  • Drive construction phase of the project
  • Manage Quality & Environmental plans on site

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working on heavy civil based projects
  • Tier one contractor experience within the infrastructure sector
  • Forward thinking and will work with the team to ensure the project runs smoothly
  • Worked within the rail industry (is a preference)
  • Degree educated in an engineering discipline OR equivalent experience
  • CSCS card
  • Able to produce and explain accurate plans and drawings
