We are seeking dedicated Tutors to provide exceptional learning support to individual pupils or small groups who require additional assistance in specific subjects. Tutors are vital in identifying students’ strengths and weaknesses and adapting teaching methods to suit their individual learning styles.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Work with students across different academic levels, customising teaching methods to individual needs.
  • Develop structured teaching plans tailored to pupils’ requirements and preferred learning styles.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality teaching materials and guide students in utilising these resources effectively.
  • Build positive working relationships with pupils to foster engagement and participation in one-on-one or small group activities.
  • Set clear learning objectives and provide regular feedback to help pupils enhance their knowledge and confidence in the subject.
  • Explore topics beyond the standard curriculum to promote critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate with teachers regarding students’ advancements.
  • Incorporate computer-assisted learning tools to supplement traditional teaching methods.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the tutoring role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in the relevant subject area is often preferred.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential.
  • Ability to teach pupils up to the academic level below their own highest qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Proficiency in using computer programs for educational purposes.
