Staff Nurse - Haematology / Oncology

We are looking for an Oncology experienced Registered nurse to join the team at the exceptional Private Cancer Care Hospital in Manchester.

Contract Type: Permanent, full time 37.5 hours

Salary range: £32,000 to 38,000 per annum dependent on experience with excellent benefits, generous shift allowances and private health insurance.

Role overview:
As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating high standards of specialist care as part of the ward team. The role will work across a full rotating shift pattern, and provide an opportunity to care for patients who have undergone surgery across multiple specialities. We will work with you to ensure that you have the knowledge and skill to deliver exceptional care in a supportive environment that values your well-being.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure individualised care plans are in place for all patients in the designated clinical area.

• Ensure an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for patients and their families.

• Clinical care and management of patients including developing and maintaining clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care.
• Completion of clinical skills competencies.

• Work within and monitor standards of care within the defined policies, procedures, standards and protocols of the Unit to ensure adherence to, and delivery of, a high-quality service.

• Comply with and promote infection control standards

Skills and experience:

• Essential: NMC Registered Nurse (RN Adult)
• Essential: Minimum of 2 years Inpatient experience
• Essential: Venepuncture
• Desirable: Haematology experience
• Evidence of on going training and learning in Cancer care is an advantage.
