Client Associate/ Property - SSAS

Salisbury Based

Up to £34,000 (Depending on Pension knowledge) + Benefits + Exam Support

Hybrid Working (3 days in the office)

NJR Recruitment are partnered with a leading firm of Pension Specialists offering a family orientated working environment. Over the years they have built up an excellent reputation for providing specialist SSAS pension administration services. Our client now offer an excellent opportunity for a pensions administrator to join their team in the Leicester area. Carrying out SSAS Administration tasks, the successful candidate will join their thriving teams.

Working alongside the team leader and forming part of the SSAS Administration team', this role will involve providing direct support to the pension consultants including key directors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administrating a portfolio of SSAS schemes.

Daily duties will be varied consisting of:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of individual clients and their advisers, and actively engage with all parties to achieve the best possible customer outcomes.
  • Calculate and pay retirement benefits.
  • Process contributions and transfers into the scheme.
  • Arrange buying/surrender of investment portfolios.
  • Prepare scheme asset valuations and member fund share calculations.
  • Undertake property and land purchases and sales in accordance with internal procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure that rent reviews, lease expiries, EPC certificates, and insurance renewals are in place and/or obtained as required.
  • Monitor rent and loan repayments and follow internal process should arrears arise.
  • Arrange loans to associated and unconnected parties, ensuring that internal procedures are followed including the credit control of those loans.
  • Monitor scheme bank accounts and ensure that sufficient cash is retained to make income payments and pay fees.
  • Carry out the required activity to establish a new scheme or take over the scheme from another operator.
  • Prepare trust deeds to reflect changes in Trustees, Principal/Participating Employers, and scheme rule amendments.
  • Register schemes with HMR&C, The Information Commissioner and The Pensions Regulator, as required.

The successful candidate will be intelligent and ambitious with the desire to learn and succeed within this buoyant market. Our client is looking for someone with a can-do attitude who has solid communication and articulations skills as well as the eagerness and drive to succeed.
