£23 per hour umbrella

Contract (3 months+)

The Role:

The Resettlement Team help to rehouse people coming out of prisons and hospitals. The role involves completing assessments in line with homelessness legislation, issuing notification and decision letters, completing Personal Housing Plans and moving vulnerable people into suitable accommodation.

The Homeless Casework Service was established to help applicants who are homeless or living in temporary accommodation to move into suitable and sustainable housing. The Resettlement team works collaboratively with partners to move households into suitable housing and improve housing sustainment.

Within the Homeless Casework Service, the Resettlement Team will provide specialist housing and support pathways for single homeless applicants with more complex needs.

The Candidate:

  • Significant experience of providing specialist homelessness casework to single homeless applicants with more complex needs, such as applicants leaving institutions including prisons and hospitals
  • Significant experience of working collaboratively to improve outcomes for single homeless applicants with more complex needs, such as applicants leaving institutions
  • Ability and experience to consistently deliver high levels of customer service to single homeless applicants with more complex needs
  • Ability and experience of ensuring all aspects of casework is carried out in accordance with legislation, strategies policies and initiatives set out at the national, regional and local level
  • Ability and experience of consistently achieving performance objectives in the provision of specialist homelessness casework
