Special Risks - Assistant Underwriter

Your new company
You will be working within a market disrupting MGA that have market leading talent across all business lines. This company prides themselves on offering bespoke insurance and reinsurance solutions backed by a multinational insurance firm.
Based in the heart of the City, they work under a hybrid model (4 days in office / 1 from home) with hours 9.00 - 18.00.
After years of positive growth, they are now looking to add an Assistant Underwriter to their Special Risks team.

Your new role
As an Assistant Underwriter, you will be working within a successful and cohesive Special Risks team, headed up by a Senior Underwriter with over 20 years experience. Focusing on a Special Risk book of business.
Main responsibilities:

• Assisting with administrative duties
• Processing MTA's
• Liaising with brokers - fostering strong relationships
• Working toward independently underwriting both new and renewal business

What you'll need to succeed

• 3+ Years experience within the London Market at an Assistant Underwriting or Underwriting Assistant level
• Experience in Reinsurance (if none, a keen interest to pursue)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset

What you'll get in return

• Base salary of up to £45,000 DOE
• Competitive bonus structure
