Special Needs Teacher – September 2024 – Permanent
This vibrant special school with outstanding leadership is recruiting for a Special Needs Teacher to provide an engaging and nurturing education for students aged 11-19 with a primary diagnosis of autism. This school requires a Special Needs Teacher who wants to be part of a community that is focused on providing young people with autism with an outstanding education and equipping them with tools to help them take the next steps in life.

Staff are supportive, and you will receive excellent support from a team of experienced teachers and teaching assistants, who love what they do. As a Special Needs Teacher at this school, you will be teaching a small class of students, and be responsible for providing them with a nurturing education, that is tailored to meet their individual needs. This role requires a Special Needs Teacher who loves working with special educational needs and enjoys seeing the progress that students make. This school is a wonderful, warm, welcoming environment and I cannot recommend them highly enough. This role requires a QTS teacher from either primary or secondary background.
Job Role:
  • Teaching a small class of children aged 11 - 19 with special educational needs.
  • Planning and delivering lessons to meet the need of individual children.
  • Liaising with the SENCO and TA’s to ensure children are supported appropriately.
  • Making school a nurturing, welcoming and safe place for students.
  • Helping young people to break down academic and social barriers.
