Sous Chef, Edenbridge Kent, up to £36k

As well as main restaurant, this site also has a busy café providing freshly prepared hot food and deli items. Our client is now looking to recruit a strong Sous Chef to take ownership of this café and run it as if it was their own.

As the Sous Chef, you will
* Be fully responsible for the running and service of the kitchen, taking ownership of the kitchen
* Manage the small team and ensure standards are maintained
* Work alongside the Head Chef and GM (based at the main restaurant)
* Have input into menus and offers
* In addition, oversee and support the mobile catering units onsite

Working hours are 5/7, 40 hours per week. Please note, key periods of business are weekends and Bank Holidays so this role will involve working majority of these.

Our ideal candidate would be
* An experienced Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie with a proven work history
* Keen and able to take ownership of a kitchen
* A team player with the ability to lead and manage
* A strong communicator with exceptional organizational skills
* Attentive to detail and presentation
* Genuinely passionate about food and high standards with a strong knowledge of food trends
* Flexible and willing with a big personality and a positive, can do attitude
* Able to work most weekends and Bank Holidays (essential)

Rented accommodation can be offered on either a short term for relocation or longer term if preferable.

Due to location, it is advisable for applicants to have their own mode of transport as the site is remote with no public transport nearby.
