The client we are working with here at Antony James Recruitment is a high-end luxury hotel in the hear of London. The clients are massive on progression and always look internally to progress their staff, so the sommelier is a great opportunity to develop your career further.

As a Sommelier, you will have to ensure sufficient stocks of wine, equipment and wine lists are available. You will need to have a full understanding of the wine list. You will be responsible for serving quality wine to customers, ensuring they have an excellent experience. You will need to be flexible and adaptable working late evenings and may potentially have you work weekends based on a rota system.

The roles are moving really quickly so if you are:

Able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment in a restaurant

Experienced with serving, in hotels, restaurants, bistro and bar or wineries

Have a WSET Level 3 or similar qualification

Previous experience working as a Sommelier, Decanter, Wine Steward or Wine Waiter

In return for your work the client is offering:

A competitive salary based on experience, ranging from £35,000 - £42,000

Guaranteed 48-hour work weeks

Full induction and continued, ongoing training

Hot meals while on duty
