Software Tester – Penrith - remote
Automation, ISTQB, Agile, SQL, Testing Lifecycle, Test Documentation - £35k

This highly successful organisation is looking for a Software Tester to join an established software development team. The successful Software Tester will be joining a team of developers working on the testing and delivery of applications and sites within various web frameworks.

Skills & Responsibilities for the Software Tester:
  • Executing test scripts within the schedules agreed and report back on product quality. 
  • Plan, carry out and document the testing of software
  • Identifying and recording defects
  • Creating and maintaining test documentation
  • Work within development scrum teams using agile methodology
  • Work closely with other areas of the business to understand the system’s functional and non-functional requirements. 
Job Requirements 
  • Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and QA’s role in it 
  • Strong background providing manual and automation testing
  • An understanding of programming languages
  • A passion for software quality and the testing process 
  • Ideally experience with SQL and databases 
  • ISTQB certification
