Software Development Manager - Hull - £50,000 to £70,000

Principal IT are working exclusively with a company based in Hull that are recruiting for a Software Development Manager. Our client is currently on a mission to utilise technology and innovative thinking to bring a better, faster, and greener approach.

Role & Responsibilities:

As the Software Development Manager, you will assist the Chief Technology Officer in the successful running of the group's software development function. You will be responsible for the line management of the company's in-house development resources.

Experience Required:

  • Great interpersonal skills with an ability to be able to articulate internally and externally verbally & via email
  • Conducting 1-2-1's and reviews for the Software Team
  • Delivering product roadmaps for key projects
  • Analytical Thinking, the job requires the ability to analyse information and the use of logic to address work-related issues and problems
  • Experience with full stack web development. Preferably working with frameworks such as Laravel
  • Experience or an understanding of ISO27001,9001 & Cyber Essential Plus
  • To have worked in SCRUM/self-managing teams environment
  • Experience in delivering software 'projects' across a range of technologies
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase
