Design Junkie are a full service digital agency founded in 2000. We are a team of passionate brand and digital experts based in Huddersfield. 
Design Junkie help brands, big, small, new, and old connect with their audience through a personal approach.

We help define their identity through data insight and impactful creative solutions to develop a complete user experience.

Overview:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our team of digital specialists as a Full Stack Web Developer Apprentice. 

Salary: £18,000 per annum.

Duties:

  • You’ll be working on a wide range of projects for a diverse client portfolio 
  • Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain Design Junkie’s custom-built web-based applications 
  • You will need to deliver quality, clean code with a passion for best practice 

What we are looking for: 
Essential skills:

  • A basic understanding of front-end development techniques, e.g. HTML, CSS and Javascript 
  • A basic understanding of programmatic best practices and how they are implemented 

Desirable skills:

  • Good knowledge or experience with any of the following technologies: PHP, Lavavel, APIs, MySQL, WordPress, Bootstrap, Bitbucket, Drupal or Shopify

Personal attributes:

  • You are eager for more responsibility and happy to take a lead on small to medium sized
    projects.
  • You can manage your own workload to meet milestones and deliver projects on time.
  • You work well within a team environment whilst possessing excellent interpersonal skills
  • You are comfortable inputting into group situations, both colleague and client facing.
  • You care about the work that you produce with a passion for best practice

Entry requirements:
7 GCSEs total: 

  • English GCSE grade D or above
  • Other 6 GCSE's, including Maths, to be C or above
  • You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
