Opus people solutions on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker in their Children in Care Team

The Children in Care team work with children of all ages that are in care, carry a caseload and progress care plans for them. They may be finding adoptive placements for them, or supporting long term fostering plans. There will also be some complex young people in residential care, and a group that we are supporting to return home to family members.

This role will be based at Noble House (CB7 4EX) with Flexible working arrangements available.

This role will include:

  • Under the general direction of a Team Manager, provide a high quality and effective social work service to respond to the needs of vulnerable children and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines.
  • Work in partnership with families using the Family Safeguarding model, taking a strengths-based approach to assess need, plan and deliver focused interventions to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
  • Build meaningful working relationships with children and young people that enable their voice to be heard and their lived experience to be understood.
  • Work with multi-agency colleagues and partners to ensure holistic engagement with children and their families
