Position Overview:

As a Site Engineer on our highways project, you'll play a crucial role in the successful execution and delivery of the project. You'll work closely with the project management team, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that all construction activities adhere to specifications, schedules, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys, assessments, and inspections to support project planning and execution.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide construction activities.
  • Monitor and manage site operations, including earthworks, drainage, road construction, and pavement laying.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high construction standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to optimise project efficiency and performance.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety awareness among all project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
