Position Overview:

As a Site Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precise execution of engineering activities on-site. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and coordination of construction works to ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on a prestigious project in Manchester.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate setting out and surveying of the construction site using total stations and GPS equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to guide construction activities effectively.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth progress of works and timely resolution of issues.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
  • Monitor and report on progress, productivity, and resource allocation to the Project Manager.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical queries and engineering-related issues as they arise on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the project team.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to engineering activities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on high-rise residential or commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment and CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
