Sheet Metal / Welder Fabricator

Position Overview: As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the fabrication of components for our automated parts handling systems. This position requires expertise in TIG and MIG welding techniques, as well as proficiency in utilising various fabrication equipment such as press brakes, guillotines, and rollers.

Hours of work are: Monday - Thursday - 8.00am-4.30pm, Friday - 8.00am-13.00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform TIG and MIG welding tasks to assemble and fabricate sheet metal components.
• Utilise press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and other fabrication equipment to shape and form metal according to specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator or similar role.
• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques.
• Familiarity with operating press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and other fabrication equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, while also having the capacity to suggest and implement your own ideas.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Communication and teamwork skills.
