After Sales Service Manager



Job Type: Full-time

Location: Thetford with occasional travel to client sites

Salary: £40,000



We are seeking an After Sales Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our clients after sales and service function. This role is crucial in ensuring maximum uptime of equipment, thereby enhancing overall client experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer requests, work allocation within the Service department, and liaising with Sales and Parts departments as necessary.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide excellent levels of service to customers, keeping them informed of job timings and progress.
  • Support, supervise, and coach a team of technicians, assisting with tasks and providing mentoring and training as required.
  • Ensure efficiency and profitability of service operations, with repairs completed correctly following company processes and safety guidelines.
  • Manage the Service Team, including field and yard-based technicians, scheduling, and timely dispatch of parts.
  • Process sales orders and provide first-line technical support to clients.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure minimum downtime.
  • Manage the service department budget and ensure adherence to financial targets.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with jetting equipment or high-pressure plant is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Positive attitude with a ‘can do’ approach.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Good attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Valid driving licence.
