Our client, a Lloyd's Managing Agency, seek a Senior Technical Claims Specialist. The role will involve handling a mix of complex/high value Property and Energy/Power claims.

Applicants should have prior Property and/or Energy claims handling experience. This will be a hybrid role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of high value and high complexity claims, determining coverages, setting timely and accurate reserves and ensuring appropriate escalation within the business.
Working closely with the Claims and Commercial Leadership to promote the company claims brand in the Property, Energy & power markets.
Assisting the Claims Manager with team training, supervision, guidance and mentoring to less experienced claims staff and other functional areas.
Negotiating highly complex settlement packages, and authorising payment within scope of authority, settling claims in most cost effective and timely manner.
Advising the wider business on anticipated claims trends.
