Your new role


In your new role, you will join the firm's tax team to assist with corporate and / or personal tax matters. The key duties of your new role include:

  • To liaise with Head of Department / Manager to deliver tax returns
  • To liaise with clients to obtain information and manage deadlines
  • To prepare tax returns, computations and schedules
  • To offer advice to clients and ensure statutory regulations are understood
  • To attend client meetings where required
  • To research tax technical issues where required
  • To manage workflow and ensure jobs are delivered on time and, where appropriate, to meet agreed completion/submission targets
  • To manage and control WIP on a monthly basis
  • To prepare fees on a monthly basis
  • To keep technically up to date with attendance at courses, personal reading and research
  • To promote tax services and develop business as required
  • Any other appropriate tasks, as directed


What you'll need to succeed


The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a practice accountancy firm and hold a professional qualification such as ATT or CTA. You will possess excellent technical tax knowledge and the ability to oversee and manage a portfolio of clients, being able to deliver quality work in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and possess a strong competency across all Microsoft platforms including excel.
