Atrium Healthcare, on behalf of our client, is seeking Senior Support Workers to provide compassionate assistance to children coping with Emotional Behaviour Disorders and Mental Health. In this role, you will collaborate with the registered manager to establish a nurturing and secure environment for a group of children facing challenges, which significantly impact their daily lives.
Responsibilities:
·Work closely with the registered manager to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for children in care.
·Utilise relevant qualifications and prior experience to deliver tailored care to children with diverse needs.
·Motivate, nurture, and empower children to reach their full potential within a residential care setting.
·Provide emotional support and guidance to children facing behavioural and emotional challenges.
·Facilitate activities and interventions aimed at promoting the well-being and development of children in care.
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create individualised care plans and strategies.
Requirements:
·NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential or equivalent.
·Due to the location, full UK driving license and access to your own car.
·Proven experience working in a children's residential environment.
·Ability to effectively communicate and engage with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
·Strong behaviour management skills and thorough understanding of safeguarding principles.
·Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach towards supporting children with emotional and behavioural disorders.
