Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and creativity. You will play a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen operations, and staff management, ensuring that every aspect of our culinary offerings reflects our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect culinary trends.

Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.

Always ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and morale.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment maintenance and sanitation.

Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and menu costing.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role in a fresh food restaurant/brasserie

Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, high-quality dishes.

Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
