Role: Senior Software Engineer (Python)
Location: Shrewsbury Hybrid (2-3 Days per week in Office)
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical development of client-facing/revenue-driving tools.
  • Translate tool ideas into technical development roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage maintenance, updates, and upgrades of deployed tools.
  • Contribute towards improving tools by implementing new features and upgrades.
  • Embed best engineering practices across the company.
  • Communicate operation and results of solutions to internal teams and clients.

Candidate Requirements.
Essential:

  • Excellent Python programming skills.
  • Proficiency in Javascript and SQL.
  • Strong applications/system design, deployment, and maintenance experience on cloud computing platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of software engineering and secure development best practices.
  • Strong CI/CD experience.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies and ability to develop and maintain user interfaces.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with Google BigQuery.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform).
  • Experience with Data Build Tool.
  • Google Cloud Certifications.
