A 6 month interim (day rate) opportunity has arisen to work with our client who is a global financial technology company (fintech). specialising in FX & Crypto currency trading. 

Based in the West London we are looking to speak to individuals with previous experience in Audit Preparation, Financial Reporting and Controls for a 6 month assignment. 

Location: West London
Salary: Day rate (Inside) £500-600 (Umbrella)
Hybrid: 3 days in the office
9am - 6pm 

The company is in the middle of a restructure and we therefore needs an individual who can work well under pressure, in a fast paced and changing environment. Whilst the role is titled as Senior Reporting & Financial Accountant, it is essential the successful individual has a controllership mentality and upward & downward manage. 

The  role will be focused on getting the finance function operating efficiently and implementing controls ensuring legacy team members adhere to change. This will be a technical focused role and will also playing an essential role in ensuring the company is ready for the 2024 audit.  

To manage expectations, this role will be full on, demanding and chaotic. Your job is to create stability moving forward. There will be elements of forensic and investigation, changing behaviours and mentalities on top of the day to day. 
  
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 
  • Work with Transformation Director ensure appropriate controls are implemented and adhered too. 
  • Collate, own and track audit deliverables.
  • Work with Head of Finance to ensure audit deliverables & statutory accounts are completed.  
  • Preparation of the statutory reporting for regulated entities & subsidiaries under IFRS.
  • Completing respective disclosures under IFRS.
  • Partner with auditors  and internal partners providing relevant information for the audit.
  • Liaising with tax advisors for submission of annual tax computations & returns.
  • Provide additional reports/checks to strengthen internal controls around the statutory reporting process. 
To be consider for this position you will have/be: 
  • Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CA/CPA
  • IFRS Experience (essential)
  • Experience in Financial Services/Fintech FCA Regulated Business (Essential)
  • 3+ years’ experience in audit or similar role, preferably with financial services exposure.
  • Strong technical accounting experience in preparing financial statements with exposure to hedging, multi-currency, and financial instruments. 
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building, with experience in working with auditors/tax advisors.
  • Prior experience of using SUN Systems and/or Blackline. (beneficial)
