 Senior Recreation Assistant - Leisure Facility in North West London - up to £29,069 per annum

Are you currently a senior lifeguard or Duty Manager looking for a change? Have experience lifeguarding and managing? 

4Leisure are currently looking for a Senior Recreation Assistant to join this friendly team in North West London. This role is based in a private Leisure Facility and they are looking for someone who can  assist with the facilities daily operations and support the team. You will be responsible for the preparation, cleaning and general safety of areas in the Aquatic and Fitness Centre. 
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience working within the leisure industry. Our client is looking for a real "people’s person" with a passion to deliver high standards. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lifeguard or Duty Manager with poolside experience, looking to join this fantastic team! 

Main duties include:
  • Ensuring safe and secure environment for employees, students and visitors
  • Preparing activity areas to include the safe setting up/dismantling of equipment and ensuring that all equipment is stored safely and securely when not in use
  • Routine maintenance and cleaning of gym and swimming pool equipment and changing rooms
  • Assisting visitors with enquiries in a friendly and effective manner, proactively developing and maintaining high standards of customer care
  • Carry out basic exercises classes on a regular basis within shift
  • To supervise the shift when there is no manager onsite
Essential Qualifications: 
  • NPLQ qualification (National pool lifeguarding qualification) 
  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor role 
  • First Aid at Work 
OR willing to undertake the above. 
Desirable Qualifications: 
Swim England Level 1, Level 2. 
Pool Plant Operator (PPO) 
  
Please note, this role is a Fixed term, 40 hours per week - 1-year contract with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. This role includes evenings and weekends.
