Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with a passion for delivering excellence in the highways/civils sector? Do you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our esteemed traffic management client based in across the South East.

Role Overview: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful financial management of the projects. Your expertise will contribute to the overall project delivery by effectively managing costs, contracts, and procurement processes. Your keen attention to detail and strategic mindset will be instrumental in optimising project outcomes and driving the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of quantity surveying for projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets, monitor costs, and manage financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure efficient contract administration and compliance.
  • Lead procurement activities, including tendering and contract negotiation.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution.
  • Analyse project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Implement systems and processes within the commercial team


Requirements:

  • Degree / HND qualification in Quantity Surveying or another relevant subject.
  • Registered with the RICS / CICES and working towards professional chartership - preferable
  • Excellent working knowledge of NEC3 & NEC4
  • Relevant CSCS card
  • Strong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on civils/highways/traffic management projects.
  • Good command and communication of oral and written English.
  • Skilled negotiator and communicator.
  • Good people and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (ie. Excel) and other computer skills.
