Senior QA/ QA Test Lead - Remote £65,000

I have a new role for an experienced QA/ QA Lead to join my client going in as the first QA for the company. The company is a fully remote scale up with very occasional team catchups that will be somewhere in the South West of England (they no longer have a physical office so have a completely remote tech team). They have been building a brilliant product that helps businesses to provide benefits and keep their employees feel looked after, motivated and engaged. They have a dev team of 6 developers and are now looking to hire their very first QA. .

They are looking for someone to essentially set up their test processes and test strategy across their web based product initially (this will eventually also include a mobile version further down the line) and obviously be super hands on too. They are also keen to get automation implemented so would love someone with automation experience who can built out their automation , but the developers can help out if needed so that it won't necessarily all come down to you to do it all. You'll work to instil a culture of quality amongst their dev team and help promote best practice around qa/ testing You'll create and implement a QA strategy that encompasses both feature and automation testing, through to deployment and you must also be comfortable integrating this strategy into their Azure DevOps and deployment processes.

You will have a completely blank canvass to decide what tools to use for automation, so it is a great opportunity to use your experience to get thinks set up in the best way you see fit.

Their ideal person will be an experienced Tester who ideally has been involved in creating and building processes from the ground up, including automation , who is confident going in as the first qa. They would really love someone who has done this sort of things before and you'll also need to be proficient in ensuring quality standards in CI/ CD pipelines.

Salary is anywhere from £55,000 up to £65,000 plus great benefits including a bonus scheme they are currently sorting out, 35 hour working week, contributory pension, 27 days holiday, and a whole range of extra benefits through their benefits platform.
