Job Title: Senior Portfolio Underwriter (Surveyors) - Professional Indemnity (PI)

Location: London or Bristol

Salary Range: £80,000 - £140,000 (Flexible based on experience and qualifications)

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on managing portfolios
• Previous experience in underwriting Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance, specifically within the Surveyors sector
• Familiarity with the London Market is preferred
• Demonstrated experience in managing and expanding portfolios, scaling from a few hundred thousand to multiple millions in Gross Written Premium (GWP)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and cultivate a portfolio of Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance business, specializing in the Surveyors sector
• Drive new business development initiatives to enhance GWP and expand market presence
• Collaborate closely with a central underwriting assistance team to optimize processes and maximize resource utilization
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and underwriting of PI policies, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards
